CONGRATULATIONS!

Thank you for providing a safe and loving home for your new family member. The safety and wellbeing of your new puppy is of the utmost importance. We strongly recommend the following precautions to keep your puppy safe.

Protection

Your puppy should be protected at all times from over handling and exposure to public places such as parks, playgrounds, pet supply stores, and grassy areas frequented by adult dogs until your puppy has completed all three rounds of vaccinations.

Rest

Your puppy will need lots of rest. Exhaustion can easily be mistaken for illness. We recommend at least an hour of rest for each hour of play, and lots of quiet time.

*TOY BREED PRECAUTION: Please be aware that small breed dogs are uniquely susceptible to hypoglycemia (Dangerously low blood sugar). Exhaustion and dehydration can be potentially fatal to dogs under 10lbs.

Diet

A consistent diet is crucial to your puppy's wellbeing. Keeping your puppy on the same food reduces stress both physically and psychologically. If a change in diet becomes necessary we recommend mixing in the new food for one week. Remember, human food is harmful to puppies. The sharing of human food with your puppy will nullify the Idaho Puppy Co. health guarantee

Acclimation

It is normal for your puppy to experience some stress when transitioning from one home to the next. Diarrhea, loss of appetite and vomiting can be symptoms of new environment stress. Rest, consistency and lots of affection will help your puppy normalize into their new home.
